Micro/Nano particle phase change dynamics

With advances in technology, material science in microscale shows great development potentialities. The micro/nanoparticle materials carry great scientific importance. They provide a bridge between macroscale materials and atomic or molecular structures. With considerable specific surface area, high surface activity, remarkable catalytic effect, micro/nano particles have unique physical and chemical properties. Micro/Nano particles have extensive applications in wide range of scientific fields such as electrochemical sensing and bio-sensing, rapid solid-state storage, medical treatment and drug delivery, high density energy storage, hydrogen storage, DSSC, enhancement of heat transfer, etc.

Our lab focuses on the phase change dynamics of micro/nano particles. The numerical and experimental studies are conducted aimed to explore the mechanism of the particle phase change which is the basic principle to develop micro/nano particles for the enhancement of heat transfer and other applications.
