International Symposium on Nanostructures and Their Applications in Renewable Energy

(October 24-27, 2013)

Peking University, Beijing, China

Topics

The symposium will bring together researchers from physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering to share their ideas and thoughts to use nano structures (clusters, superatom, superhalogen, nanotube, nanowire, nanosheet, nano porous materials) for energy conversion and storage, to understand the mechanisms involved in energy and fuel production and utilization, to identify some key problems in relevant techniques, and to accelerate the discovery and development in energy technologies and innovations. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • New theories and multi-scale methods for nano materials and energy science
  • Clusters, superatom, superhalogen, nanotube, nanowire, nanosheet, nano porous materials
  • Hydrogen production, storage and fuel cells
  • Batteries and super-capacitors
  • Dye sensitized solar cells
  • Theory and simulation of electrode materials
  • Thermo-electric materials
  • Materials for self-powering
