Mario Lanza got his Ph.D in nanoelectronics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2010. During his pre and post doctoral stages he developed investigations in Germany, Great Britain, China and United States, working for some of the most prestigious centers in the world as Stanford University, the University of Manchester and Infineon Technologies Co. Ltd. among others. Dr. Lanza worked with many outstanding scientists, like Dai Hongjie, Paul C. McIntyre, Yu Da Peng, Liu Zhongfan, Bruce Hamilton, Guenther Benstetter and Gennadi Bersuker, and his main research interests are: nanoscale characterization of advanced materials, graphene based devices, and clean energy production through water splitting. His research has been supported by the Catalan, Spanish, German, European and Chinese governments, under some of the most prestigious programs like Marie Curie, the Research Fellowship for International Young Scientists of the National Science Foundation of China, and the DAAD. He speaks fluently English, Chinese, German, Spanish and Catalan.
